The Zeitoun Foundation was created in 2009 to aid in the rebuilding of an ongoing health of the city of New Orleans, and to help ensure the human rights of Americans. Beginning in the fall of 2009. the Zeitoun Foundation will begin to distribute funds garnered from the sale of Zeitoun, a book written by Dave Eggers about the life of Abdulrahman and Kathy Zeitoun and their trials and tribulations after Hurricane Katrina.
